something old, something new

nothing borrowed, nothing blue.

velvet tshirt: jcrew | charcoal skinny jeans: chip and pepper | spiked pigalle pumps: christian louboutin | necklace: random vegas souvenir from stallion | claw cuff: anarchy street | gunmetal watch: marc by marc jacobs | yellow bangle: jcrew | rhinestone bracelet: target | purple bangles and spikes: forever 21

y’know that feeling you get when you rediscover something awesome in the depths of your closet?  i usually squeal with glee.  maybe that just means i have entirely too much stuff.  or that my closet is entirely too small.  i’m gonna stick with that option for now.  anyways, i picked up this awesome neon pink velvet tshirt from jcrew over the weekend, and i’ve been grappling with how to wear it.  so during this morning’s prance-about, i tried it on with a pair of black snakeskin skinnies and with black and white tribal skinnies and both gave me serious “not impressed” face.  skirts also got a big NOPE, so i went back to staring at piles and piles of pants.  and then.  omgTHOSE.  that moment of total wardrobe clarity.  these jeans are at least five years old…i actually don’t know if chip and pepper even exists anymore, but they have just the right amount of distress to make them kinda rock n roll, which is just what i needed for a shirt like this.  i paired them with my favorite loubs and a hodge podge of jewelry for an edgy neon hump day.  me gusta.

also!  as you may have noticed in the pictures above, i’ve gone ombre!  aaaaand i’m obsessed.

xx,

b
